Goods Shed Arts Tetbury - Photography Exhibition - 1st April - 13th May

A photographic exhibition by Mark Fairhurst  called "Brief Encounter" in the Goods Shed Art Centre.

Exhibition open Tuesday to Sunday 11am - 3pm but please check with Shed Arts before travelling as opening rely on volunteer stewards.

Will definitely be open Easter Sunday 1st April and Bank Holiday Monday 2nd April 11am -3pm

Murder on the Orient Express - Cinema @ The Shed - 5th April

Kenneth Branagh directs and leads an all-star cast

When a murder occurs on the train he’s travelling on, celebrated detective Hercule Poirot is recruited to solve the case. What starts out as a lavish train ride through Europe quickly unfolds into one of the most stylish, suspenseful and thrilling mysteries ever told. “Murder on the Orient Express” tells the tale of thirteen strangers stranded on a train, where everyone’s a suspect.

Didmarton Rural Cinema - Paddington 2 - 6th April

 

Settled in with the Brown family, Paddington the bear is a popular member of the community who spreads joy and marmalade wherever he goes. One fine day, he spots a pop-up book in an antique shop -- the perfect present for his beloved aunt's 100th birthday. When a thief steals the prized book, Paddington embarks on an epic quest to unmask the culprit before Aunt Lucy's big celebration.

Tetbury Goods Shed Arts Centre - Wrong Jovi - 7th April

Delivering a fitting tribute is no mean feat, but Wrong Jovi manage to do exactly that. Described by some as “the best Bon Jovi tribute band in the world”, this band of look- and sound-alikes deliver a concert experience like no other; the passion, enthusiasm and musical dexterity of each member is evident from the opening chord. 10.00 am. Cars needed. This is a pretty walk in the area around Hawkesbury Upton which in the main, is fairly easy but a bit of a haul uphill towards the end.

Abigails Party - The Dolphins Dramatic Society - 12th April - 14th April

The Dolphins Dramatic Society presents Abigails Party by Mike Leigh. Set in the 1970s, this hilarious play is about British suburbanites Laurence and Beverly entertaining their new neighbours, Angela, a nurse and Tony her computer-operator husband as well as Susan, whose teenage daughter, Abigail is having a party.  Over drinks and snacks, clichés and fatuous small talk abound but as everyone gets progressively more drunk tensions escalate, conversations and behaviour change and it all becomes increasingly funny.

Tetbury Goods Shed Arts - Little Howards Big show for Kids - 14th April

Little Howard’s big new act keeps going wrong. Roger The Pigeon has spent all their money on cookie cutters. His comedy counterpart Big Howard has been diagnosed with being clinically unfunny – and there’s a slug in the backstage toilet.

And it’s about to get worse: a sinister figure arrives and Big Howard and Little Howard have to put on the best show of their lives to keep themselves out of jail!

With interactive stand-up, live animation on stage and lots of jokes and songs this really is a show that all the family can enjoy.

Join William Howard as he explores Chopin’s 4th Ballade, considered by many to be one of the great works of romantic piano repertoire.

Tetbury Goods Shed Arts - William Howard Piano Recital - 22nd April

William Howard (www.williamhoward.co.uk) presents a programme of romantic piano works alongside recently written love songs for solo piano.  Three piano love songs from the romantic era open the recital. Tetbury Goods Shed Arts - William Howard – Q&A (Schools Event) - 23rd April

In this event aimed primarily at Year Ten pupils (though also suitable for older and younger year groups), William Howard will perform a selection of short piano works spanning a range of styles from baroque to 21st century.

Watching Out @ The Goods Shed - 24th April

Watching Out is an evening of comedy by the Everyman Theatre with a theme of being watched. Watch this and you’ll see plenty to be jealous about.  Hector Bouchard is astounded when a strange woman bursts into his elegant Paris apartment, demanding certain things – but only when her husband is watching from the adjoining building.
